Civil rights protesters seem so noble nowadays while Black Lives Matter protestors do not. Will this view change 50 years from now?

We are in the middle of a pandemic. You and the other protesters are hyper-accelerating it with mass congregations. Others will pay the price for your spreading COVID-19 including but not limited to. Friends and family that protesters come in contact with in the following days. First responders who are dispatched to the protest. Hospital workers, many who are working 60-hour plus weeks and will again be hit with another spike. Grocery store and other personnel who will come in contact with protesters in the following days. I know you are upset—nobody who has a heart could not feel pain at George Floyd’s death—but if you could, don’t make others pay a price because you need to express yourself. Alternatives that could be performed by protesters. Write or call your congressman / state and federal Call the police, mayor, and police department that Derek Chauvin belonged to. Twitter warrior (look it up) Social media projects including blogging. Network online with other protesters. Look at your local judges and see how t handled police brutality in the past (you really have to read to do this; don’t skim read) Present your findings to others. If you are not black. Offer financial projects to black people in your community. Set up volunteer programs for the ones who lack education or resources. Network with a black church—especially if you are Christian. Don’t visit one in person because of COVID-19 but plan to visit one or more in 2021. Read black literature. Don’t be yet another non-black person who can’t name a single black author or have a conversation about black literature. Network online with black leaders and others. It is really annoying for the record to see white people making a lot of noise about police on black violence and than see t have no or few black friends on their Facebook friends and are willfully ignorant of black culture. If that describes you in a subtle way, you are part of the problem no matter how many protests you go to. Seriously protesting during a pandemic is a really bad idea. Bug local politicians and research your local judges —and if not black connect with the black community. Pretty please.
